Welcome! I am so glad you are here!

Women’s health concerns are often dismissed or inadequately addressed in traditional medical settings. With almost two decades of experience helping women, my mission is to help you understand your symptoms and provide practical, sustainable solutions. Together, we focus on your needs, with ample time for you to share your concerns. I listen, discuss all options, and create an evidence-based, clear, and cost-transparent plan.

Using an integrative approach, we address symptoms like low libido, fatigue, sleep issues, hormonal changes, weight management, and more. We will obtain any necessary tests, and I prescribe hormone therapy as needed, consulting with specialists when required.

Midwives provide care beyond childbirth. I am "with woman" throughout all life phases, from puberty to menopause. Learn more about midwifery here.

Background:

I completed my nursing and midwifery education in the United Kingdom, where I also earned a Master's in Public Health and Health Promotion. I pursued extensive graduate education to become board-certified in the USA. As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and a member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, I work within the APRN-CNM scope of practice as outlined by the Texas Board of Nursing and the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM). For issues outside my scope, I collaborate with an excellent network of board-certified physicians and holistic practitioners.

My “WHY” for starting Focus Women’s Health & Wellness:

I started this practice because I became frustrated with the limited time I had with patients in a mainstream women’s health clinic, where care was often restricted by insurance requirements. I believe women deserve personalized, focused care, and I am dedicated to providing holistic, evidence-based care that truly meets each person's needs.

Personal notes:

I currently teach in the College of Health Professions at Thomas Jefferson University, where I am also studying for a doctorate degree. I am married with kids, and I enjoy listening to/watching true crime stories, playing board games, and traveling!
