Asides from changes in menstrual bleeding pattern leading up to menopause, women also experience:

Evaluation and management of psychological, vasomotor and genitourinary symptoms using FDA-approved treatments and/or customized compounded formulations.
Management of sexual dysfunction associated with menopause.
Prescription for Hormone Replacement Therapy.
Planning for the prevention of osteoporosis that includes referral for bone mineral density screening test.
When indicated, referral for pelvic floor therapy and/or urogynecology as indicated.

Using a holistic, trauma-informed approach, the goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Your visit starts with a comprehensive health history-taking and listening carefully to your concerns. Then, we perform a physical examination that includes a clinical breast and pelvic exam as indicated. Any or all of the following may be included in your exam as deemed necessary:
A mental health screening tool appropriate for you.
Cervical cancer screening test (aka PAP).
Screening for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
All necessary blood tests.
Ordering imaging such as ultrasounds or mammogram.
Other screening tests appropriate for your age group/individual needs, including hereditary cancer testing.
New prescriptions and/or medication refills.
Preconception or contraception counseling.
